Food is hit or miss, but we live in Indian Head so know what's good to order and what isn't, so it's one of our takeout (or delivery) choices. Most of the chinese dishes are good, though I find the fried rice to be heavy on onions, and the breaded meats vary (according to day/cook/supplies, I don't know). Steamed dumplings used to be one of our favorites, and the sauce for that varies wildly from order to order. The random dishes generally aren't worth trying (mozzarella sticks, anything that's not chinese or subs). The gryo is good if you have your own condiments (feta cheese, cucumber sauce), otherwise... it's odd with american condiments. Subs are generally okay. Haven't tried the wings, so can't offer an opinion. It's not a place for atmosphere for dining; we always get our food for takeout or delivery. Also, when doing takeout, we call ahead so it's waiting. I'm not sure how long it takes to make, but it's always hot when we get it, so no complaints there.

Ok Goodies servers Chinese and American food don't order any American food from them unless it's chicken wings. The low quality will make you sick. On the other hand the Chinese food was okay. I gave this place a 3 star only because it's a step up from Panda Cafe but I also had better. Will do if you don't feel like the drive farther up the street.

Ive lived in indian head for a while and this place has just gone downhill. Like they dont give a fuck about food and even less about the people who live down here. They served me a mushu chicken with moldy tortilla bread. I let them pass on that one. Next time im there mushu was disgusting like they used rotten vegatables. Tortilla ice cold. The chick at the register literally put her hand on my food and told me nothing was wrong with it. I threw it out in front of her face and walked out. Highly disappointed never going there again.

Ok, I hate giving low star ratings. I always think long and hard about the experience and I am very careful to be fair, I don't compare a fast food restaurant to a high class expensive restaurant. They are in different league. So here it goes. There aren't a lot of choices in Indian Head for food. I swung by because I have tried a few different places for lunch and figured they needed their fair shake. No one was in there other than the gentleman taking my order. I got a sub, the turkey something that was toasted. It was just terrible. French fries were cooked all right, ate about half my order before tossing it since they were just to starchy. Couldn't finish the sandwich, it was slimy... I don't know what was wrong with the cheese other than I think it wasn't real cheese just cheese product which is why I think everything in the sandwich was slimy. I couldn't identify what else was on it. The bread seemed like it was ok. Positives Gentleman taking my order was very nice Negatives Not very clean - that may have just been because the floor was stained Food was not good at all So it gets a one star because I won't go back. Part of me wants to give them another shot since I do feel bad about the low star but I have to remind myself this is my opinion and others can make their own, maybe the asian dishes they serve are good?

Food was sub par. Even the rice was dry and flavorless. I had to wait for my food forever, even though the place was empty. It appeared clean.

My first "one star" review. ** start of anti-chinese carryout rant ** I am So anti-Chinese carryout that I can admit being a bit bias. When considering these type of restaurants I am VERY perculiar regarding cleanliness and quality of food. Generally speaking you never get Grade A quality meats. All of the focus is towards buying cheap and reselling fast. Besides I rarely walk into one and see them consuming the same dishes they sell. ** end of anti-chinese carryout rant ** This particular Goodies is just TERRIBLE. Everything from the customer service to the decor and location. Went in one time to pick my order up and told myself never again.

Used to be fantastic. The food quality/taste has gone downhill the past few years that I rarely go here any more. Did go a month ago and ordered a chinese meal and it was flavorless. The prices are reasonable but I expect to enjoy my meal and this was not the case. The meat tasted weird and the veggies were not fresh.

I love Goodies. Now that they deliver, I love them more. There was a time I frequented so regularly, that they knew my order by heart. Oh, I miss the high cholesterol days. They can get very busy. Even so, staff is very efficient at managing the line and phone orders. I don't consider this "fast food" and expect to wait 15 minutes for my order. Some dishes are much better than others. The menu is almost too vast, so do some exploring and decide what suits you best. Deliveries have so far been amazingly quick and the drivers courteous.

Love this store, although the guy at the counter doesn't like to speak, outisde of your total and what you ordered. The LoMein, General T'so Chicken wings, Shrimp and Broccoli are all good. Though if you order it at lunch it will taste different if you order the same thing at dinner. So just be sure you know when to order for the taste you want.

Food is decent. A tad slow for fast food. Great interior but they need to add more to atmosphere other than the news and an oversized fan

Inconsistent! I believe that they must have more than one cook. The first time I went it was excellent. I especially liked the general tso's chicken wings. The next time, the food was okay, but not great. I like my food spicy and told them that and it was a bit bland. I gave it one star because the last time that I went was after an area power outage and the meat in their food tasted spoiled. I don't think that it could have been a coincidence, so I will never go back.

I love this place! I moved to Indian Head, Md in June 2010 and my boyfriend was looking for a good place that sold Chinese Food. We ordered from Goodies and boy were we surprised. I place is so clean , the food is fresh, and it takes no time to receive the order. My dad came down this past summer and ordered a cheesesteak (we're from Philly, we don't say steak and cheese) and it was great. When ever I go home he wants me to bring him a large shrimp fried rice!!! Great find coming from Philly!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
